Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4: Week 4 Challenges Guide - Release Date, Rewards, Cheat Sheet, How To Complete FAST And Everything We Know
Fortnite's Chapter 2 Season 4 is well underway and with a new week starting up, it means a fresh batch of weekly challenges.
Last week's challenges had players heading to Stark Industries to take on Iron Man in what was a tough but exciting challenge.
The new POI has made for some crazy matches in this marvel themed season.
With this week now upon us, the new challenges are relatively easy, but a few tricky ones have been thrown in to trip you up.
Here are week 4's challenges and our in-depth guide to completing them FAST!
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 Week 4 Challenges Release Date
The new challenges are now live! They arrived on the 17th September 2020 at roughly 2-3pm BST.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 Week 4 Challenges
The Week 4 challenges will be live in-game when they are available, here's what you'll be doing:
- Search 7 chests at Slurpy Swamp (25,000 XP)
- Get 3 eliminations at Weeping Woods (25,000 XP)
- Deal 100 damage within 10 seconds of bouncing off an umbrella at Sweaty Sands (25,000 XP)

- Deal 500 damage to opponents at The Authority (25,000 XP)
There is an incredible amount of experience to unlock here, totalling 250,000XP if you complete every challenge.
This would get you a long way on your Battle Pass, helping to unlock new characters, emotes, and weapon skins.
What's more, completing a total of 10 challenges from Week 3 and 4 combined will unlock an alternate Storm skin, so it's worth going out of your way to complete them.
MARVELOUS: Get ready for another week of Marvel filled challenges
How To Complete Season 4 Week 4 Challenges
Search Chests At Slurpy Swamp
This is a relatively easy challenge, requiring you to head to the Slurpy Swamps POI in Fortnite.
Located to the north on the island, on the left side of the river that cuts through the map, you may struggle to do this in one go due to there not being enough chests and competition from opponents.
Your best bet is to jump into squads or solos to ensure you are competing with fewer teammates and even opponents.
It will no doubt be a popular drop place, to begin with, but will die down as the week goes on.
Eliminations At Weeping Woods
Another simple challenge, but it can be hard depending on the spawns, especially in Team Rumble.
If you play Team Rumble enough times, more than likely the battle bus drops will allow a mix of both teams to drop in this location. Or the final circle will push you here.
It's also quite centralised, so you are more likely to come into some conflicts along the way; it is located between The Authority (central POI) and Slurpy Swamp (which is to the south-west).
Get on top of a building and search the attics for a chest and a rifle to quickly take out loot-less enemies.
WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY: Iron Man's no slouch
Deal Damage Within 100 Second Of Bouncing Off An Umbrella In Sweaty Sands
A bizarre and tricky challenge to complete, due to the nature of the challenge and the location.
Sweaty Sands is located in the cove, towards the north-west of the map, below The Ruins.
There are plenty of umbrellas or parasols located on the beachfront, particularly leading up to the swimming pool. If you play enough Team Rumble, spawns and final circles will eventually land you here.
If you can't 0-100 an opponent, you'll likely only need to complete this feat twice.
Sweaty Sands is a decent drop location for normal battle royale modes, so consider playing this mode to achieve this challenge.
Destroy Collector Cases At The Collection
The Collector, from the Guardians of the Galaxy, recently crashed into the map.
The Collection landmark is located to the south-east of Retail Row (which is also in the south-east of the map).
The landmark is wedged into the snowy mountain and can easily be reached by the Battle Bus.
Hack Stark Robots at Stark Industries
Last week's inclusion of Stark Industries decimated Frenzy Farm.
So you're looking to head to the only cluster of buildings on this elevated platform, which is located to the north-east (if you follow a direct path from the Authority to Steamy Stacks you should find it).
Once there, you will see Stark Robots roaming the area. Be sure to have a weapon and build to give yourself cover as their weapons will HURT.
Down a robot, head up to the robot and hack it by pressing the following button:
- X button on Xbox One
- Square button on PS4
- Y button on Nintendo Switch
Destroy 20 Gatherers
Gatherers are enemy drones that Galactus has sent and are randomly distributed around the island.
The larger ones are Gorgers, that send out smaller ones called Gatherers; you want to destroy the small ones.
When you encounter a Gorger, be sure to allow as many Gatherers to spawn in as possible.
You will need to eliminate 20 of them, so it may be tough to find the Gorger again if you can't get it done in one attempt.
Pick up an assault rifle or a long-range weapon, build some cover if necessary or use any appropriate buildings on the map to poke out and take down the Gatherers.
For more advice and how to find them, check out our article on Gatherers here.

Deal damage to opponents at Steamy Stacks
Another simple challenge, but can be hard if you're a fan of Team Rumble based on its location on the map.
If you play Team Rumble enough times, more than likely the battle bus drops will allow a mix of both teams to drop in this location. Or the final circle will push you here.
Get on top of a building and search the attics for a chest and a rifle to quickly take out loot-less enemies.
Again, it may take you a few tries to do, so don't focus too heavily on getting this challenge done from the get-go and focus on other things; it'll come naturally.
Deal damage to opponents at The Authority
This challenge will prove much easier than Steamy Stacks due to the location, it's very regularly the crossing points for modes like Team Rumble and regularly plays host to the final circles.
Get on top of the main building and for a chest and a rifle to quickly take out loot-less enemies.

Fortnite challenge guide: How to complete the Black Panther quests
Fortniteseason 5 is chock full of challenges and the list keeps getting bigger and bigger. Recently, a new set of Black Panther challenges became available, based on the famous Marvel hero. The challenges themselves aren’t too tough, but it’s a good idea to be aware of what they are and how to get through them as efficiently as possible.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through completing all three Black Panther quests in Fortnite.
List of Black Panther quests
- Players need to play 10 matches in Fortnite without leaving midway.
- Players must outlast a total of 500 enemies across all Fortnite games played during the event’s duration.
- Players have to complete five games of Duo or Squad in Fortnite with their in-game friends.
There are a couple of things to know about the Black Panther challenges in Fortnite. The first thing is that — unlike many challenges this season — you can stack progress across all three quests. This is particularly useful to know ahead of time so you can complete them all as efficiently as possible. During season 5, many challenges cannot be stacked, since you have to complete the first stage before unlocking the next, and so on. But luckily, that’s not the case with Black Panther’s quests.
Below, we’ll walk you through completing all of Black Panther’s quests.
Play 10 matches without leaving midway
Since you can stack progress across all three challenges, we recommend to go for this one while you attempt the last one, which requires you to play five games in Duos or Squads with in-game friends. As long as you don’t leave the match, you’ll gain credit towards this quest. If you want to make this one go by faster, you can kill your character as soon as the match starts by jumping off a tall building or something similar, but we don’t recommend this since you need to survive to gain credit for the next challenge.
Outlast a total of 500 enemies
Ideally, we advise to prioritize this challenge while playing Duos or Squads with friends. As soon as the game starts, hide on the edges of the map — as far away from others as possible. Even if you win each and every match you play, you’ll still need to complete around six games to outlast 500 enemies, which is more than the amount you need for the next challenge.
Complete five games of Duo or Squad with in-game friends
This one is likely the toughest because it can be hard to line up with your friends. If you’re really having trouble, play random matches and send friend requests to everyone. Not everyone will accept, but you’ll surely make at least a few new friends this way. Otherwise, go for the Black Panther quests all at once with a buddy to ensure you complete them efficiently.
Once you complete all three quests, you’re rewarded with the Wakandan Salute emote for free.

Fortnite marvel challenge
Fortnite Season 4 has brought all sorts of Marvel challenges to the battle royale. They all require a special item--one of the mythic weapons that give players special abilities--that can be difficult to get. This guide will show you an easy way to complete these challenges and earn additional experience to help you get through Season 4's extra long grind.
How Do I Complete Marvel Challenges?
Marvel Knockout, the limited-time team death match mode that was added to Fortnite alongside Season 4, is the best way to complete these challenges. The mode automatically gives you select abilities, including the Silver Surfer Board, Iron Man Repulsor Gauntlet's, Groot's Ball, and more during matches. It makes it much easier to complete these challenges.
There are a number of Marvel challenges, and more are bound to come as Season 4 has been extended past the usual 10-week period. Here are a few challenges from earlier weeks:
- Deal damage after knocking an opponent with Storm’s Whirlwind Blast
- Deal damage after knocking an opponent back with Black Panther's Kinetic Shockwave
Finding the mythic weapons in regular battle royale matches (found in supply drones at Quinjets or by killing the heroes scattered across the map) is difficult. Even when you do get them, you probably won't deal enough damage to complete a challenge before the match ends. That's why Marvel Knockout is useful.
Playing Marvel Knockout will also help you finish punch cards, which give you 15,000 experience points a pop. There are punchcards for every hero ability, from Storm's Whirlwind Blast to Dr. Doom's Arcane Gauntlets, that will award you tens of thousands of experience points if you play enough. It's easy to level up three or four times after playing for a short time.
Is Marvel Knockout Currently Available?
Marvel Knockout is not available right now. It was replaced by Rally Royale and then the Halloween Fortnitemares event. It will be coming back, though. Epic Games said that there would be three more Marvel Knockout tournaments like the one the studio hosted with the new Daredevil skin. The upcoming tournaments could feature Black Panther, Venom, or Ghost Rider.
Fortnite will be available at launch for Xbox Series X,Xbox Series S, and PS5. It will be coming to Unreal Engine 5 on those platforms in 2021, as well.

Fortnite Awakening challenges: How to unlock built-in emotes for all of the Marvel heroes
The Fortnite Awakening challenges are bonus tasks you'll reveal as you progress through this season's battle pass, and are linked to the Marvel heroes you unlock along the way. These assignments tend to appear a few levels after you've added the specific character's outfit to your locker, and by completing them you'll receive an additional built-in emote which triggers a special action for them. As you'll see, these challenges are largely based around new Marvel-themed landmarks that have recently arrived in Fortnite, which means it's completely understandable if you don't recognise their names or know where these areas are. We've already done the searching for you, so read on for everything you need to know about the Fortnite Awakening challenges.

- Prove your worth by picking up Mjolnir as Thor
A nice and easy start to these challenges, as you just need to head to the Fortnite Mjolnir location to pick up Thor's hammer and add it to your locker. You must have the Thor outfit equipped when you collect it, and only Thor can use it as a harvesting tool – anyone else will just display the standard pickaxe instead.

- Stage 2 of 3 - Deal Damage to Opponents Using Mjolnir as Thor (100)
- Stage 3 of 3 - Emote as Thor at Mountain Top Ruins
You'll need to have the Thor outfit equipped for all of these challenges, so make sure that's set before you start. Your first port of call should then be the Fortnite Bifrost marks, which are found near the Fortnite Sentinel Graveyard towards the centre of the map. Then, grab Thor's hammer (which you should have unlocked earlier) and dish out some melee damage to opponents – either follow another player down from the battle bus or hit Team Rumble to make this easier. Finally, make your way to the Fortnite Mountain Top Ruins south of Misty Meadows on Mount F8 and emote to complete this set.
Fortnite Jennifer Walters Awakening Challenges

With the Jennifer Walters outfit equipped, make your way to the northwest corner of Retail Row, where you'll find Fortnite Jennifer Walters' office marked with a large sign outside. Next, head to Doom's Domain (where Pleasant Park used to be) and eliminate three of Doctor Doom's Henchmen – you'll find plenty of them in the base under the football pitch, as well as patrolling the area. Lastly, go to Camp Cod, on the small island off the southeast coast, then head to the house in the southwest corner. Smash some of the many Fortnite vases found inside the building, then emote to finish this list.
Fortnite Groot Awakening Challenges

- Stage 1 of 2 - Plant a seed on a heart-shaped island as Groot
- Stage 2 of 2 - Emote as Groot at a Friendship monument
There are two initial challenges to complete while donning the Groot outfit, plus a third that unlocks as you progress. To rescue Fortnite Sapling Groot, head to the centre of Holly Hedges and the outdoor plant store, then look in the middle of a group of three potted plants to find them. The Fortnite heart-shaped island is found off the west coast between Sweaty Sands and Holly Hedges, where you'll see a mound of dirt to interact with and plant a seed. Finally, go to the group of trees on the hill northwest of Sweaty Sands where you'll find the Fortnite Friendship monument (which you may recognise as previous landmarks Hayman and Pipeman), then emote to finish up.
Fortnite Storm Awakening Challenges
Storm: Fortnite Storm Awakening Challenges
Unlocks at: Battle Pass Level 60
Reward: Gale Force built-in emote
- Stage 1 of 3 - Visit the Weather Station as Storm
- Stage 2 of 3 - Ride the Steamy Stacks in the storm as Storm
- Stage 3 of 3 - Emote as Storm at the center of the eye of the storm
Once you're using the Storm outfit, start by making your way to the Fortnite Weather Station which is the group of buildings up the mountain south of Catty Corner. Next, you need to go to Steamy Stacks after the circle has begun closing and it's inside the storm, then ride the updraft inside one of the stacks. To finish, you have to go to the central point of the current eye of the storm (ie the circle on the map), where you'll find a hovering lightning icon – Team Rumble makes this easier, as the first circle is quite small so it's simple to pinpoint the middle. Emote near this purple marker and you're done.
Fortnite Doctor Doom Awakening Challenges
Doctor Doom: Fortnite Doctor Doom Awakening Challenges
Unlocks at: Battle Pass Level 74
Reward: Victory Von Doom built-in emote
- Stage 1 of 3 - Visit Doctor Doom's statue as Doctor Doom
- Stage 2 of 3 - Visit a giant throne as Doctor Doom
- Stage 3 of 3 - Emote as Doctor Doom during a Victory Royale
Suitably outfitted as the imposing Doctor Doom, your first destination is Doom's Domain (formerly Pleasant Park) where you'll see Fortnite Doctor Doom's statue right in the middle of the named location. To find a giant throne, head to the small mountain directly southeast of Retail Row, where a massive seat is carved into the north-facing side. Wrapping things up by emoting during a Victory Royale is not quite as tough as it sounds, thanks to the fact you can achieve this in Team Rumble mode, so as long as you end up on the winning side you just need to hit that emote button when the victory screen appears.
Fortnite Mystique Awakening Challenges
Mystique: Fortnite Mystique Awakening Challenges
Unlocks at: Battle Pass Level 86
Reward: Shapeshifter built-in emote
- Stage 1 of 3 - Use a Phone Booth as Mystique
- Stage 2 of 3 - Deal damage with different rarity pistols as Mystique (3)
- Stage 3 of 3 - Emote as Mystique after eliminating an opponent
With the outfit of the disguise master equipped, you need to head to Doom's Domain once again, where you'll find several Phone Booths around the outskirts and one in the middle near the statue. Dealing damage with three different rarities of pistol takes a bit more work, but remember that there are five rarities in total and you can upgrade them at weapon benches – Team Rumble will give you the best chance of amassing different pistols and dealing damage without losing them. Finally, eliminate an opponent then emote to take on their appearance, which again is most easily accomplished in Team Rumble.
Fortnite Tony Stark Awakening Challenges
Iron Man: Fortnite Tony Stark Awakening Challenges
Unlocks at: Battle Pass Level 100
Reward: Suit Up built-in emote
- Stage 1 of 3 - Reach 88 on the speedometer in a Whiplash as Tony Stark
- Stage 2 of 3 - Use an Upgrade Bench as Tony Stark
- Stage 3 of 3 - Emote as Tony Stark in the Stark Workshop
With your Tony Stark outfit applied, you first need to find a Fortnite Whiplash – the sportiest looking of the Fortnite cars – then get the speedometer above 88. You'll often find one in the northwest corner of Sweaty Sands, which also features a long straight road to get your speed up before boosting to hit that target number. Next, find one of the Fortnite weapon upgrade benches to use, which you can see through walls as a circle icon when you're close to one. In Team Rumble you get a much greater supply of materials, which makes upgrading a weapon easier in that mode. To finish off, the Fortnite Stark Workshop is a red barn situated southwest of Stark Industries and east of The Authority, so get in there and emote to Suit Up and finish this final challenge.
Fortnite Wolverine Awakening Challenges
Wolverine: Fortnite Wolverine Awakening Challenges
Unlocks at: All Fortnite Wolverine challenges completed
Reward: Snikt! built-in emote
Unlike the other Fortnite Awakening challenges, Wolverine's is not tied to the battle pass and is instead revealed once you've completed all of his specific challenges. When they're done, simply emote as Wolverine and you'll replace your harvesting tool with Wolverine's claws. Handy!
