Scribl is a very different audiobook website because while there are some free audiobooks, most of them come at a cost. It's really a hit-or-miss type of situation when you look for free audio eBooks here.

However, we've included it here because you might find unique books that aren't free anywhere else. Just make sure to grab them quickly because as books get more popular, Scribl puts a price on them.

Because Scribl has other things, too, like eBooks and podcasts, you want to make sure to filter the results to only show audiobooks. All audiobooks automatically come with the eBook at no cost.

There are several ways to filter the results to show only the books you're interested in listening to. For example, maybe you're only interested in space-themed English books set in the late 1900s that have a female main character. Set those filters and see what shows up!

There are mobile apps if you want to listen from your phone.

Free audiobooks at Spotify? Yes! With a catch: it's only free to download the books if you're a paying user. Spotify memberships allow for downloading content while free users can only stream the books.

The free audiobooks at Spotify are not organized very well because Spotify is a music streaming service, not an audiobook website—but there is a good handful of them available.

If the link below doesn't have the audiobook you want, try doing a general search for audiobooks on Spotify. Use these Spotify search tips if you need help.

Crack the Funding Code: How Investors Think and What They Need to Hear to Fund Your Startup (2019)

Written by Judy Robinett, Crack the Funding Code explains the listeners about venture capital, angel investing, & corporate funding. Robinett holistically laid down strategic pathways for entrepreneurs who are looking towards securing funds. A deficit in funding is the main reason why most of the small and middle-sized businesses fail. These businesses fail as their owners aren’t aware of angel investors or venture capitalists. Further, even if they have a faint idea, they are not sure how it works.

The audiobook provides a board perspective to business owners regarding how businesses with funding work. The business owners will also get to know how investors perceive things professionally. When entrepreneurs are done with the audiobook, they can curate a roadmap for their business to prosper, significantly.

Crack the Funding Code will teach listeners how to acquire money, pitch to investors, and build fair, ethical deals that will offer them new sources of outside funding and essential expert guidance.

The Creativity Leap: Unleash Curiosity, Improvisation, and Intuition at Work (2020)

Natalie Nixon’s The Creativity Leap sheds the reality between people’s perceptions of creativity. Most people consider creativity amalgamated only to arts. They dismiss that creativity is deeply rooted in an entrepreneur, engineer, and scientist. It is the creativity that leads to the curating of groundbreaking services and products. By the looks of it, Natalie Nixon is a creative strategist by profession. She also has a background in fashion, anthropology, & service design.

According to Natalie, creativity fills the gap between the inception of an idea and innovation. It is in humans to be creative, and it is creativity that sets them apart from each other. In The Creativity of Leap, Nixon also explains how creativity balances rigor, wonder, improvisation, intuition, and skill-building. This audiobook will teach listeners how to unify real-world techniques with creativity to get desired results.

  1. Dare to Lead: Brave Work, Tough Conversations, Whole Hearts (2018)

Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts (2018)

Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead is not to showcase how stoic leaders should be. Rather leadership isn’t about status, titles or power to condescend people. Leaders are the ones who hold themselves accountable to recognize sheer potential among people and their ideas. Leaders are also responsible to develop the latent potential in people. The audiobook is for the entrepreneurs who want to step out of their comfort zone. To make a difference in the world and lead.

The leaders do not have all the answers; however, they ask the right questions. Leaders are supposed to be curious, they know things are finite when you dictate people and infinite when you share the power with people around you. Young entrepreneurs need to learn lessons from this audiobook if they want to be good leaders. The author spent around a couple of decades understanding the emotions of leaders and people working under said leaders.

Dare to Lead tackles an epidemic need for more trust, honesty, empathy, and caring in our workplaces and organizations. Miscommunication, demands to achieve, temptations to hide your flaws and failings, and so much more will surely occur wherever we work. According to the statistics, most of us experience problems with our bosses or coworkers.

This business audiobook comes highly recommended by me! It is timely, strong, easy to adapt, and very professional.

  1. Zero to One

Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future

Start-ups are considered to represent the future, so entrepreneurs Peter Thiel and Blake Masters walk us through the steps to creating a successful firm from the bottom up. Instead of learning from previous accomplishments, this thorough handbook focuses on the future. Thiel and Masters discuss tried-and-true methods for generating new ideas and creatively identifying market gaps.

Zero to One, narrated by Masters himself, provides insight into the startup ecosystem and how to succeed in it with a unique concept. This forward-thinking listen, endorsed by start-up pioneers Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, is a vital guide for the budding entrepreneur.

Best About This Audiobook

The audiobook Zero to One is about how to develop businesses that produce new things. It is based on what Peter Thiel has learned as a co-founder of PayPal and Palantir, as well as an investor in hundreds of businesses, including Facebook and SpaceX. Thiel’s single most significant pattern is that successful individuals uncover value in unexpected places, and they do it by approaching business from fundamental principles rather than formulae.

  1. Good to Great

Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap...And Others Don't

Jim Collins feels that good is the adversary of great, and he begins Good to Great with that statement. Collins sets out to determine if any firm can progress from excellent to great, or whether greatness is required from the outset. This audiobook investigates the concept that accepting good, or even mediocrity, might impede businesses and ideas from becoming remarkable and creative.

9 Business English Audiobooks for Learning the Right Way

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine was raving about a salad she ate at a new restaurant.

She kept going on and on about this type of salad green she had tried, which I did not recognize.

“What is this strange food I have never heard of?” I wondered.

But after a while, I realized it was just a matter of mispronunciation. She was trying to say “arugula.”

Her mispronunciation kept us from communicating clearly at first, and gave us a nice little laugh once we figured out the issue! Thankfully, this was a casual conversation and not a board meeting or an office presentation.

Have you ever been part of a conversation where mispronunciation caused miscommunication?

Often, it is pretty clear a person has learned the mispronounced word through reading—which is actually nothing to be embarrassed about! Reading is a great way to learn and grow your vocabulary. However, it can be hard to figure out how to say certain new words.

Thankfully, business English audiobooks eliminate that problem. With audiobooks, a narrator reads the book out loud, so you instantly learn how English words sound and can try pronouncing them yourself.

That means you will not learn incorrect pronunciations and build bad habits into your business English.

Sound interesting?

Why Should I Listen to Business English Audiobooks?

While listening to business English audiobooks might not sound like the most fun activity, they are typically made with non-native English speakers in mind. This means you are able to learn without getting too frustrated with the vocabulary or how quickly the narrator speaks.

Unlike a live conversation or class, with a business English audiobook you have the ability to pause, rewind and take notes about anything you need to work on or do not understand fully. You will not have to feel embarrassed asking someone to slow down or repeat what they have said. Audiobooks also allow you to easily practice specific concepts you are struggling to learn or listen to lessons that target your exact goals.

In other words, you have complete control over how many times you need to listen to a specific part of a sentence.

Andas my earlier story illustrateshearing words properly pronounced can make a huge difference in your ability to speak English without picking up bad pronunciation habits. While reading can teach us a lot, there are definite advantages to being able to actually hear the language being used.

Perhaps the strongest reason to use business English audiobooks is how flexible they are. You can listen to them at the gym or even during your commute to and from work.

Once you try using business English audiobooks to help you become a better English speaker, I think you will agree they are a perfect addition to other learning materials, like FluentU. Why? Well, FluentU is like an audiobook but with fun things to watch while you listen. It is a great addition to your audiobook learning!

FluentU takes real-world videos—like music videos, movie trailers, news and inspiring talks—and turns them into personalized language learning lessons.

Unlike traditional language learning sites, FluentU uses a natural approach that helps you ease into the English language and culture over time. You’ll learn English as it’s spoken in real life.

FluentU has a variety of engaging content from popular talk shows, nature documentaries and funny commercials, as you can see here:

FluentU makes it really easy to watch English videos. There are captions that are interactive. That means you can tap on any word to see an image, definition and useful examples.

Learn all the vocabulary in any video with quizzes. Swipe left or right to see more examples for the word you’re learning.

The best part is that FluentU keeps track of the vocabulary that you’re learning and recommends examples and videos to you based on the words you’ve already learned. Every learner has a truly personalized experience, even if they’re learning the same video.

You can start using the FluentU website on your computer or tablet or, better yet, by downloading the app from the iTunes or Google Play stores.

Business Made Simple 🎧 Donald Miller 📚🎵 Full \u0026 Free Audiobooks

Life’s hard, as most of us recognize! Yet right here it’s magical – and parochial, small-town Ontario was never ever so oddly and also savagely serendipitous PRIOR TO Boy Staunton threw that accursed Snowball.

And instantly it’s a World of Excellent and Evil Wonders, as if all of a sudden buried in a brand-new two-foot sparkling carpeting of Lake Impact snow, with paradoxical icicles hanging by the wall!

That’s where this novel begins. Robertson Davies – Fifth Business Audiobook Free. You enter medias res, like in a classic impressive – only, if you’re the flexible kind I was, it seems to open up just like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe provided Narnia – in a shimmering Glacial period of the human spirit.

And Fifth Service is a progressively more complicated, murky and allusive affair, as it morphs into the circus of picky capers that lurks in the two friend stories of this, the Deptford Trilogy, ready off appropriately by the drudgery, dourly scholastic primary character (Davies himself?) Dunstan.

I can have satisfied Robertson Davies back in those early days of my life, had my secondary school marks permitted me to go to the U of T English Faculty.

You would certainly see him most days of the week, they used to claim, on the leafed school – with his long white beard and lengthy white hair, like some Old Testament prophet, spruced up in a fancy beret, the nattiest tweeds and twirling a cream color walking stick!

However he was a very valued instructor, and also a DYNAMITE writer. And an actual old-fashioned!

As well as you understand, if you rely on your lucky stars, also the most awful times in your life – like Staunton’s fateful snowball throw was for some – can end up producing very good things for you.

Like the serendipitous Fifth Business that long ago introduced me to the girl that was to become my partner …

As well as quickly, the Evil in my life was transformed right into Great.

It’s like, if that unsteady ‘mix of frailties’ that is our very own irregular lives HAD ACTUALLYN’T happened the exact means it did, we would certainly never have been as delighted as we ended up being in the long run – GENUINELY Deus Ex Machina, as they said in olden times.

For me Robertson Davies is Canada: its meekness and also its snobbery; its reserve and its smugness; its integral autonomous perspectives as well as its bourgeois provincialism; its multicultural variety and subtle ethnic prejudices. It is the US without the fanaticism and England without acquired the aristocracy. It is additionally a lot more than either. Davies ability to define Canada’s individuality is unparalleled and itself one-of-a-kind. Fifth Company is a sort of depictive background of the nation from 1910 to 1950 from the point of view of the Ontario elite, roughly the equivalent class of the New York nouveau rich at the turn of the 20th century. Davies ability to notice the peculiar mores and characteristics of this currently decreasing society is remarkable. Couple of writing in the English language can beat Davies prose. He is as smooth as John Banville and also as fascinating as Louis Auchincloss.
Robertson Davies is one of those authors that has constantly been an outer artist. I’ve seen his publications, corner of my eye, at book shops (utilized and brand-new) yet never focused. Never ever stayed. Never ever picked one up. Recently I asked a pair good friends to recommend some bigger books (or collection) that they actually suched as. A close friend of mine, who is a writer and shares numerous similar tastes (Patrick O’Brian as well as John le Carré, etc) suggest the Deptford Trilogy by Davies. So, I picked it up.

Gobsmacked. Ach mein Gott! This book is great. It advised me of an intellectualized variation of John Irving (later I uncovered Irving LOVED/LOVES Davies) mixed with a little bit of John Fowles. He is a master of time, location, and also personality As Well As he is additionally among those writers whose prose has plenty of little. quotable bon mots or philosophical epigrams. As well as while I conveniently admit that these are a little bit like sugar sprinkles for me– they work and their is a reason I adore them.

Anyhow, guide carried a large amount of emotional resonance with me. Enough so that I’m obstructing a copy I bought for my partner to check out (she is a beast on publications, so I bought her a mass-market variation for her enjoyment and also sacrifice she does not obtain the hardcover one I have).
I didn’t know much regarding Davies, only that he was a renowned Canadian writer, as well as I purchased this book made use of thinking that I ought to be discovering my Canadian heritage. * As well as I was absolutely wowed by the book. It is the tale of Dunston Ramsey, or rather, a story informed by Dunston Ramsey. Dunston concerns realize over the course of the book that he has lived his life as a Fifth Service – a term, which stems from the opera, indicating to a sustaining personality, that, while he has no opposite of the various other sex (being neither the hero nor heroine, bad guy neither competing), as well as is vital to the plot, for he commonly understands the secret of the hero’s birth, or concerns the help of the heroine when all appears shed, or might even be the source of a person’s death. This is the duty Dunston plays in his life, as well as the function he plays in the story.
As well as I believe that a few of my experiences are colored by that – the means I think of World War One, was, for certain, formed by the truth that my great-grandfather was a veteran. I definitely have a desire in my heart for the Canadian anthem, poutine and various other points Canadian. However, being Canadian isn’t really a heritage, like being Irish or Italian or what have you, right? I imply, I am as American as apple pie, deep down. Fifth Business Audio Book Online. The 4th of July is my favorite holiday – majored in American history – would never ever, ever leave the country no matter how much I despised the administration and it’s national politics. And also I can’t say that my the reality that my dad was birthed in Quebec instead of Massachusetts has formed me also deeply. I mean I didn’t state that my experiences were coloured or anything. Hmmm. I will certainly have to contemplate on that even more, probably someplace aside from an inadequate little book blog site entrance on Robertson Davies.
